Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Province IX Interim Meeting
Host Chapter: Gamma Nu Stockton, California February 29 - March 1, 2008

Province IX commends the Gamma Nu brothers on all the hard work they have done to organize this interim meeting. Brothers anxiously arrived in Stockton, California and were escorted to the Stockton Grand Hotel, the finest full service hotel in Stockton. The weekend "officially" started with a social gathering hosted by Gamma Nu at the Kappa Psi house. Brothers were treated to BBQ and pizza while reuniting with other province brothers and welcoming newly initiated brothers. Brothers got down to business Saturday morning at the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Reports were presented from the province officers and each chapter. A new committee was developed, the province development committee. Elections were held in the afternoon. The following brothers were elected to the 2008-09 Province IX Executive Committee:
Satrap -- Robert Mancini The evening started with a caravan through the “treacherous” roads leading to the banquet site, Moore’s Riverboat. The extravagant dinner banquet was held on the deck of a converted riverboat in the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta city of Isleton. The banquet continued with the presentation of Kappa Psi Recognition Pins to Dipam Doshi for an outstanding job coordinating the meeting, and Stephanie Villanueva for her leadership as Satrap. The province awards were also presented at this time. Following the marvelous banquet, the traditional poker tournament was held to raise money for the province scholarship fund. Brothers were also treated to music and dancing at the riverboat. As anticipated, the meeting, hosted by Gamma Nu, was very successful. Province IX continues to strengthen and grow as evidenced by the increase in membership and participation of each chapter. |
