Historian Kristl Tom

First, I would like to commend the Gamma Nu brothers on all the hard work they have done to organize this

interim meeting. Since our last province meeting, I have submitted articles to the MASK on behalf of our province.  I have also been contacting each chapter a few weeks prior to submission deadlines to ensure our province is well represented within the MASK.  I am happy to report our province has made improvements in regards to submitting articles for the MASK.  Five chapters submitted articles for the summer issue of the MASK.  On behalf of the Province IX officers I would like to thank each chapter for their hard work.

I have been developing a website for our province.  The website is not yet complete, however if your chapter would like to contribute anything, please email me the information and/or pictures (Kristl.Tom@azwebmail.midwestern.edu).  For a sneak peek, please feel free to visit: http://kappapsi9.bravehost.com.  I have received information and pictures from a few chapters.  I look forward to receiving more information from each chapter as we continue to strengthen our “brothership and fellowhood.”

Thank you for the opportunity and privilege to serve our Province as historian.  I appreciate all the support and cooperation.  Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions, concerns or comments.

Immediate Past Satrap, Bonita Shin

Since the 2004 Spring Assembly, I have relinquished my duties and binder to Satrap Brett Rathi.  We have a good fraternal relationship and share similar views on Province IX's potential.

As for my current duties and objectives, I have been available for questions and comments via e-mail and phone.  Thank you for keeping me in touch with school activities, invites and allowing for me to be your Immediate Past Satrap.  I believe that continuity within the Executive Committee helps to break those communication barriers and makes a stronger province.  The checks-and-balances system works to run a province smoothly.

Within the past few months, I have had the opportunity to socialize with brothers from Delta Sigma, maintain contact with graduate brothers within the Phoenix area, and participated in the Kappa Psi Foundation Golf Tournament earlier this month.

Plans up until the 2005 Spring Assembly include attending (yet another) Kappa Psi brother's wedding in November, Province X Spring Assembly in Seattle, WA and possibly Province VIII Spring Assembly in Des Moines, IA, and visiting as many Province IX chapters as feasible.

I look forward to seeing you in the spring and hope that many of you influence your brothers to attend the 52nd G.C.C. in Pittsburgh, PA.  Start fund-raising now!
