Chapter History: The Gamma Rho Chapter was installed on February 16, 1948 in the Student Union by Grand Regent, Frank H. Eby, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Brother Roy Bowers. The dinner banquet was held at the Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque. The Gamma Rho Chapter has grown steadily since the 1980's. In 2005, the Gamma Rho Chapter hosted the Province IX assembly and showed brothers a marvelous time. The chapter annually supports the Albuquerque Isotopes, hosts luaus, competes in broom ball, and holds haunted houses for Halloween. The chapter is also involved in various philanthropic activities: BP screenings, Watermelon Mountain Ranch Adoption Program, and Vial of Life (just to name a few).

Eleanor Carbett was elected Meeting Coordinator for the next APhA-ASP Region 8 Meeting. Kim Neff won the National Patient Counseling Competition at the APhA Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX. |
