Chapter History:
The Delta Sigma Chapter was installed on September 9, 2000 in
Cholla Hall at
Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona by Grand
Regent, Brian Reisetter.
In 2005, the Chapter celebrated their 5-year anniversary with
a banquet
at the
Arrowhead Country Club. Brothers welcomed alumni, Arizona Grad brothers, Satrap
Derrick Egi and Past Grand
Regent
Craig Johnston. The Chapter had much to
celebrate:
5
successful years, being designated the most active
organization on
campus
(professionally and socially), acquiring Province IX's
Lapiz
Taquitos Award at the last
three assemblies, acquiring
Province
IX's Travelers Plaque at the last two assemblies,
and
the
continued growth of the Chapter.
In 2006, the Chapter
welcomed Past Grand Regent Craig Johnston as a new faculty
at
the college. And, in the fall, Dr. Michael Dietrich was recognized nationally for his
outstanding job as GCD for the
second time in three years.
In 2008, Delta Sigma was
named the Province IX Chapter of the Year.
In
2009, Delta Sigma was once again named the Province IX Chapter
of the Year
and was recognized as the 8th Best
Collegiate Chapter in the Fraternity. Dr. Craig
Johnston received the Grand Council Deputy
Outstanding Achievement Award.
