Chapter History:       The Delta Phi Chapter was installed on August 6, 2003 at the Hyatt Islandia Hotel in San Diego.  Kappa Psi's 70th Collegiate Chapter was chartered at the 51st Grand Council Convention. This was the first time a chapter has been installed with a live initiation ceremony at a G.C.C.       Just two years after being installed, the Delta Phi Chapter hosted Province IX's 2005 Interim Assembly.  It was the largest attended assembly on record for Province IX.       In May 2006, brothers celebrated the graduation of their founding brothers (UCSD College of Pharmacy's inaugural class).  Brothers Ali Rezaei and Linda Ngo each received a Grand Regent Letter of Recognition for their contributions to Delta Phi and Kappa Psi.       During the fall of 2006 brothers pulled together to revise their local ordinances and risk management policy.  They also created a chapter newsletter ("The Centimani") and built a new website.       In 2007, Dr. Linda Ngo (one of Delta Phi's founding brothers) was named the new Delta Phi GCD.
Favorite Chapter Activities: Kappa Psi Iron Chef  Pledges unpack their knives and put on their chef hats. The challenge gets hot when brothers introduce the secret ingredient.  Special judges (typically alumni brothers) are brought in for this event.   Delta Phi Retreat   Brothers take a break from studying to enjoy a camping trip..    Beach Clean Up   Brothers band together with the community to clean the beaches in the San Diego area.
