Ordinance 1 -
Title
Sec. 1.
This Province shall be
known as Province IX of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc.

Ordinance 3 -
Dues and Assessments
Sec.
1.
Each Collegiate
Chapter shall pay a twice a year fee of three dollars ($3.00) per member with a
maximum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per province meeting, and each graduate chapter
shall pay a twice a year fee of fifty dollars ($50.00), as per provisions of By-Law III.

Ordinance 4 -
Province Assemblies and Interim Meetings
Sec.
1.
A Province assembly shall be held twice a year.
The exact date, location, and program shall be determined by the Satrap and
Province Supervisor after consultation with the host chapter. The host
chapter, beginning with the 2010 Province Assembly shall be determined by
the following rotation: Gamma Upsilon, Epsilon Gamma, Beta Gamma, Delta Sigma,
Gamma Nu, Gamma Rho, Delta Tau, Epsilon Iota, Delta Phi, . In the event of extenuating
circumstances, verified and approved by the Province executive committee, a
chapter may decline to host a Province assembly. In this event,
the next chapter in rotation shall be the host of that Province
assembly.

Ordinance 5 -
Composition of the Province Assembly
Sec. 1
A chapter in good
standing shall be defined as one meeting all financial and constitutional requirements of the
Province and Central Office.
Sec. 2
The Province shall pay
only the room expenses of the Province Supervisor.
Sec. 3
For any chapter unable to send a delegate to a
Province Meeting, a proxy to another present delegate may be permitted. The
request must be written, signed by the chapter regent and secretary and
submitted to the Province Secretary-Treasurer prior to the Call to Order of
the Assembly.

No additions to By-Law V, Sec. 4.
Sec. 5.

Ordinance 6 -
Officers: Election and Duties
Sec. 1
The Province officers
shall be Province Supervisor(s), Immediate-past Satrap, Satrap, Vice-Satrap,
Secretary/Treasurer, Historian, Chaplain and G.C.C. Delegate.
Sec. 2
All Province Officers,
except Province Supervisor(s) and Immediate-past Satrap, shall be nominated
and elected on an annual basis at the Spring Province Assembly, and will
serve a one-year term. The G.C.C. Delegate shall serve a two-year term with the
Alternate filling in if the G.C.C. Delegate is unable to attend a meeting.

Ordinance 7 -
Committees
Sec.
1
The Province shall have
the following standing committees: Executive, Legislative, Auditing, Province
Assembly Planning, Philanthropic, Province Development, Awards, and Resolutions.

Sec. 4

Sec. 5
The
Province Development Committee shall consist of one member from each
province IX chapter. The member may be elected or appointed by the
individual chapters. The duty of this committee will be to promote dialogue
between the province Executive Committee and the individual chapters. In
addition the committee will take on the duties of collegiate & graduate
development. This committee will be chaired by the Province IX Satrap or a
brother appointed by the Satrap.

Ordinance 8 -
Delegate and Alternate Delegate to the Grand Council
Sec. 1.
Election of the Province Delegate and Alternate
Delegate to the Grand Council Convention shall occur at the Province
Assembly immediately prior to the Grand Council Convention in the same
manner as elections for the Province Officers. The Province Delegate shall
be a voting office and serve a two (2) year term. If the Delegate and
Alternate Delegate are both unable to attend, a Member will be selected by
the Satrap. For the year immediately prior to the Grand Council Convention
the Province Delegate and Alternate shall be responsible for promoting
awareness and enthusiasm for the upcoming Grand Council Convention.
Sec. 2.

Sec. 3.
The Province Delegate and Alternate Delegate shall be
reimbursed for early registration fees for the Grand Council Convention
provided 1) attendance at GCC, 2) the written report is submitted or
presented at the next Province Assembly following the Grand Council
Convention, 3) the Province report, to be presented at GCC, shall be
submitted to the Province Satrap at least two (2) weeks prior to the start
of GCC for approval.

12 - Amendments
Sec. 1.
No additions to By-Law XII, Sec. 1.
Sec. 2.
During the interim between Assemblies, amendments to
these By-Laws may be submitted by any Brother or Chapter to the Province
Secretary-Treasurer for distribution to the Province Executive Committee.
The Province Secretary-Treasurer shall then submit the motion to the
Chapters by e-mail, with receipt of confirmation, with a simple statement of
the action of the Executive Committee. The amendment shall be adopted by an
affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast, within the date set
by the Executive Committee, which would have a minimum of fourteen (14)
days. No amendment shall either be confirmed or denied unless three-fourths
(3/4) of the Chapters have responded. For the purpose of voting on the
proposed amendment, each Chapter shall be entitled to cast two (2) votes and
each voting Member of the Province Executive Committee shall be entitled to
cast one (1) vote.
